All gauges shall have steel jig feet.
Fixture over 45kg (100 lbs.) shall require a suitable cart with the Kirchhoff Automotive part number clearly identified and built to a working height of 36 inches. The cost of the cart shall be quoted.
No shims allowed on checking fixtures.
All features must meet the GD&T requirement (including General) prescribed in the part drawing and all virtual condition of pins and feeler gauges are to be correctly detailed in the gauge design and build.
Correct GD&T and CAD engineering level and date must be clearly identified on a revision record plate mounted on the base of the fixture. When applicable, customer (FORD, GM, CHRYLSER, HONDA, etc.) specific procedures (ie. GM1925, DC Gage Standards) to be followed. If not specified otherwise, all fixtures are property of Kirchhoff Automotive.
