The type of checking device is defined as generic build rule for mentioned part on following pages. Any part not mentioned has to be agreed by the responsible Ford-D&R engineer prior preparation of its GIS.
The checking device has to follow the GD&T and the FORD 3-2-1 referencing principle in conjunction with the final assembly fixing strategy. Any kind of additional fixing, supporting or clamping must be visualized in the GIS and has to be agreed by the responsible Ford-D&R engineer.
Ford is delivering a Nominal Buck for each launch facing the nominal milled condition of the sheet metal body. This Nominal Buck will be the master/reference for any kind of part quality check during launch and
following in-house Ford. Therefore it is absolutely mandatory that both the checking device from the supplier and the Nominal Buck from Ford are standing in a mutual state of build.
