All fixtures have to be designed and build according ASME Y14.5M-2009
All required measuring features have to be accessible for a tactile CMM control.
The overall height of the device stays in direct relation to the generic size
of usual CMM probe heads, ball diameter and the defined measuring points.
The RPS system has to follow the released locator concept
and has to be in line with GD&T.
Clamping forces have to be minimized to prevent distortion of the checking part .
Maximum force released to be equal final assembly to body intent.
Interchangeable locating features have to be developed if a self-sufficient locator pin to hole concept
is replaced by a double functional locator concept (the locator pin has a fixing intent, as well).
In this case both scenarios (part locator to gauge nominal and part locator to retainer function)
have to be reflected. Master for all measuring control is the total nominal locating principle.
