All gage pins, feelers, etc., shall be attached to the fixture base. Nylon-coated
cable inside plastic tubing is one of the preferred methods of attaching pins.
Cable lengths shall be of sufficient length to enable easy part on/off to the fixture
with a minimum amount of effort. All pins shall have an identified place for
storage on the gage.
All pins should be attached in a position and sequential
location that allows for easy access and trouble free usage by the operator.
Verify sufficient storage is provided for removable details.

All designs shall include step-by-step operator instructions on the proper use of
the gage with part and gage sketches or pictures.
Instructions shall contain all
pertinent information and be reviewed for compliance by MPG Engineering:
detail numbers, clamping sequence, identification of all measurement points to
checking details, checking sequence.
Pins and other details shall be identified sequentially in a logical manner.
