A dimensioned assembly drawing shall be identified as a “Certification Drawing”; this is needed to facilitate standardization of set up for initial and periodic certification, At minimum this drawing will contain the following:
a. Dimensioned in accordance to the part print units of measure
b. Labeled certification drawing
c. Certification marks shall start with the number “1”, and shall be placed next to corresponding dimension(s)
d. A note shall be placed near the title block, indicating the last certification mark, e.g.
e. If there are 15 characteristics to be validated the note should read: “LAST CERTIFICATION MARK, 15”.
f. This drawing shall have at least a partial view of the part identifying all features that are being inspected on the gage.
g. All functional pins that check any GDT shall have the size calculations listed on the drawing next to the appropriate pin. This does not include pins for features of size or gap check pins.
