Description
This checking fixtures can meet all GD&T per part print including gen. Tolerance callouts;
Using three 3 tooling balls if gauges are over 300mm at any axis;
Checking Slots of part with 2 pins (checking from width and length separately);
Installing safety lock or counter balance for all heavy swing details;
Painting non-working surface with white and Oxidation black of metal for working surface;
Flush checking can be well accommodated to allow easy inspection of the part profile.
- Quality Control Devices to be manufactured:
- The quality and function of the fixture during the design and development phase is controlled via the ME Sign off Events.

- All inspection fixtures must measure the part in carline orientation unless otherwise agreed in advance with Gestamp quality department.
- All inspection fixtures must support the ability to give variable measurement data as well as being scan compatible (matt black un-polished finish with imbedded datum targets as appropriate).
- Construction to prevent deformation during loading, unloading and clamping (no MDF bases or ureol risers).
- Fixture Base Plate - Fabricated, machined, stress-relieved, RAL painted base frames, employing 25mm thick base plate with Alumax MIC-6 or equivalent (E.g. Alpase K100S or Vista ATP-5), and must come with a stress relieved certificate.
- The media supplier must soak the fixture for 24 hours at 20°C prior to calibrating
- FBP (Feature Build Positions) +/- 0.00mm
- All media features (H1, h2 and locators) are referenced from the FBP. The FBP will be datum discs or hickey balls. The FBP will reference to car-line.
- Locator Pins (H1 / h2)
- +/- 0.05mm in the controlling direction.
- +/- 0.2mm in the non-controlling direction.
- Retracted Jig Pins must be 3mm+/-0.5mm below the inside surface of material to the pin head top.
- Locator Surfaces
- +/- 0.05mm.
- Form bars (gap & Flush)
- +/- 0.15mm.
